My talks usually begin with a data projector slide show containing examples of work, development of books and individual drawings through their different stages, family photos, and influences (attempting to answer the ever popular "where do you get your ideas from?") This is followed by some quick white board drawing to demonstrate that anyone, even the confirmed non-drawers, can do simple and effective cartoon faces with a wide variety of expressions. Next (time permitting) I generally do a rough drawing on the white board before rendering it in pastel on coloured paper. Questions are answered. Applause is appreciated...
